Hi everyone! My name is Joana Gonçalves, I’m 21 years old and I’ll be coming from Portugal where I’m currently studying Psychomotor Therapy at Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, in Lisbon.
I’m one of those who can’t stop for a while. Instead I spend my time doing a great amount of things I do love (and no, it’s not sleeping!). Despite loving to spend time with my friends and laugh as much as I can, I have the need to express myself whether is it by writing or through theatre. Also, I really enjoy reading. In my free time I appreciate to have the company of music whenever it is possible, since jazz or blues to alternative or indie rock music. But volunteering is another piece you find in my puzzle. At the moment, I assist kids and young adults with developmental disabilities through Horse Therapy and I also participate in a project where I go to schools and teach social skills in a ludic way. At last, I’m trying to conscious teachers and parents about ADHD, the disability I’m most curious about by making some presentations.
The reason I wanted to apply for IP Program was my deep curiosity of knowing more than people tend to present me. With you all, what I want from this experience is to hear and learn to enrich myself not only as a therapist, but as an individual.

Fabel LaraMy name is Lara Fabel, I’m 21 years old and I’m a student in Psychomotor Therapy at HfH in Zurich. In my free time I like to do sports like swimming and jogging and snowboarding in winter, I play the piano, I go out with friends, I teach children in swimming and I’m a girl’s scout’s leader. Each summer we’re having a summer camp with the girl’s scouts. Those two weeks are always fantastic! I’m also a great fan of carnival in my hometown Lucerne and openair music festivals in Summer. In my gap year, between graduating high school and starting university, I had been travelling through Australia for three months. I am still so fascinated about how many different people I met on my travels. Each person has his own story to tell and I learned so much about foreign people and cultures. Because of those experiences I made, one reason for my application for this IP is that I really like to meet new people. In my opinion, we can learn a lot for our future profession by meeting foreign students and comparing their working methods with ours. We so can widen our horizon, get new perspectives and ideas of how to work with children. I think it is also really interesting to develop their methods with ours to form something recent and unique. I compare the IP a bit with my career as a girl’s scout’s leader: In my schooling as a leader I have been in two Youth&Sports leader courses, where we learned a lot about how to be a good leader. For me, the most interesting parts of those courses were the exchanges of ideas with the other participants. I got so many brilliant ideas I really wanted to try out myself. So I always left those courses extremely motivated and with a lot of zest for action. I hope it is going to be the same with the IP.I’m really looking forward to connect the IP and spend two unforgettable and interesting weeks with many other PMT students!.
